Oil Tanker Competence

Oil Tanker Operations – Advanced Competence & Safety

This advanced test evaluates the professional knowledge required for senior deck officers serving on oil tankers. It covers MARPOL and ISGOTT requirements, crude oil washing (COW), inert gas and ODME systems, cargo measurement and calculation, static electricity precautions, toxic vapour control, and safe cargo operations. The test is intended to verify management-level competence and decision-making during complex tanker operations.
