Basic Knowledge for Marine Engine
A comprehensive test of essential marine engineering knowledge. Ideal for engine cadets, motormen, and junior engineers. Covers diesel engines, auxiliaries, pumps, MARPOL, safety systems, automation, and watchkeeping.
Bridge Radio and Communication Equipment
This test is designed to assess knowledge of the structure and connection of bridge communication equipment. Questions cover antenna types, the use of coaxial cables, VHF radio connections, and requirements for effective signal transmission and reception.
COLREG — Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea
This test assesses your basic understanding of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREG). The focus is on general definitions, allocation of responsibilities between vessels, principles of safe navigation, and actions in different situations. Navigation lights and day shapes are not included in this module, as they are covered separately.
Electrical Motors
This test covers the fundamentals of marine electrical motors, their classification, control principles, and fault diagnostics. It includes questions on operation, starting systems, protection, and maintenance of electrical motors in maritime environments.
Enclosed Space Entry – Safety & Procedures
This test evaluates your understanding of hazards, regulations, risk assessment, safety precautions, and emergency procedures related to enclosed space entry. It covers IMO and SOLAS requirements, identification of risks, pre-entry assessments, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), atmospheric testing, ventilation, safety watch protocols, and emergency response procedures.

In this test, you will assess your knowledge of the operating principles and advantages of 50DF engines, dual-fuel engine technology and its application in the fleet, the specifics of using LNG as an alternative fuel, as well as the requirements for operation and technical maintenance.
FSS Code — Fire Safety Systems
This test will assess your knowledge of the International Fire Safety Systems (FSS) Code – the main IMO regulatory document governing fire protection on ships. The questions cover technical requirements, operation and maintenance of equipment, shipboard fire prevention and control rules, fire detection systems, and emergency response procedures.
Chief Officer Competence
Test for Chief Officers on bulk carriers. Covers stability (GM, MCT, FWA), ballast operations (BWM Convention), hold preparation and cleaning (Grain clean, Coal clean, Ore), chemical use, hatch cover maintenance, cargo and bunkering procedures.
Navigation Fundamentals Knowledge
This test covers key aspects of navigation, including the fundamentals of orientation, determining directions at sea, working with compasses, courses and bearings, as well as units of length measurement, ship speed, and the principles of their calculation.
SOLAS Drill Proficiency
This test assesses crew knowledge and skills in carrying out mandatory shipboard drills in accordance with the SOLAS Convention (Safety of Life at Sea). It covers emergency response, standard drill procedures, and compliance with international safety regulations.
